Malaybalay City, Bukidnon — A coordinated anti-drug operation led by the Philippine National Police (PNP), in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 10 (PDEA RO-10) Bukidnon Provincial Office and the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit, resulted in the arrest of a newly identified drug personality and the seizure of over Php 1 million worth of suspected shabu on January 19, 2025, in Barangay Cabangahan.
The apprehended suspect, known as Alias Daya, is a 40-year-old single female, farmer, and resident of Barangay Pasayanon, Kalilangan, Bukidnon. During the operation, authorities confiscated approximately 150.3 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 1,022,040.00, as assessed by the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).
Alias Daya is set to face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The suspect is currently in the custody of the Malaybalay City Police Station for further legal procedures. Meanwhile, the confiscated drug evidence will be submitted to the PNP Crime Laboratory for confirmatory analysis.
This operation underscores the continued commitment of the PNP and PDEA RO-10 to combat illegal drugs in Bukidnon through intensified and collaborative initiatives. Authorities have reiterated their dedication to creating a drug-free province by maintaining a proactive stance against drug-related activities.
