Malaybalay City, Bukidnon – In a decisive move against the illegal drug trade, personnel from the Malaybalay City Police Station, under the supervision of Officer-in-Charge PLTCOL Joepet B. Paglinawan, conducted a successful buy-bust operation on Wednesday in collaboration with the Bukidnon Police Intelligence Unit (BUK PIU) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 10 (PDEA-10).
The operation, conducted at Purok 5, Barangay 9, led to the arrest of a 35-year-old male suspect who is unemployed and a resident of Purok 6, Barangay Casisang. Authorities identified the individual as a high-value target (HVT), listed on both the Philippine National Police (PNP) and PDEA watch lists as the Top 1 Provincial Level and Top 7 Regional Level drug personality.
The joint effort resulted in the confiscation of 40 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 272,000.00.
PCOL Culaway commended the dedication and teamwork of the operatives involved, stating:

The suspect and seized non-drug evidence were brought to the Malaybalay City Police Station for proper disposition. Meanwhile, the confiscated drug evidence will undergo laboratory examination at the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City.
