A simple blessing ceremony was held on March 26 for the Radiology Center and Lying-in facility of the City Health Office (CHO). The event was attended by City Mayor Eliordo U. Ogena, Councilors Ma. Ester Catorce, Ellen Grace Subere-Albios, and Mark Lapidez, along with City Health Officer Dr. Vincent Ende and other department heads and CHO staff.
Mayor Ogena expressed his satisfaction with the newly acquired x-ray machine worth ₱6,000,000 and ultrasound laboratory worth ₱2,000,000, as these additions provide residents with more options for essential diagnostic services. The presence of these modern medical facilities is a significant step in improving local healthcare accessibility, especially for those who may struggle to afford private medical tests.
However, despite the completion of the blessing ceremony, the facilities are yet to be operational as they are still awaiting the necessary “license to operate” from the Department of Health (DOH). Local officials remain hopeful that the required documents will be processed soon so that residents can benefit from these much-needed services.
