Davao City, Philippines — In a resounding display of integrity and commitment to a drug-free workplace, all 333 personnel of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) Drug Enforcement Units and Intelligence Sections tested negative in a surprise drug test conducted on January 2, 2025.
Under the leadership of Acting City Director PCOL Hansel M. Marantan, the drug test was carried out at Police Regional Office 11 by the Davao City Forensic Unit. The random testing, conducted without prior notice, underscores the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) dedication to maintaining transparency and ensuring the integrity of its internal disciplinary measures.
The initiative is part of the PNP’s Internal Disciplinary Program, aimed at fostering a culture of accountability and self-regulation within its ranks. DCPO remains steadfast in its campaign against illegal drugs, vowing to uphold strict policies prohibiting substance abuse. The organization has also reiterated that personnel found violating these regulations will face immediate administrative and criminal sanctions.
