Polomolok, South Cotabato — Five suspected drug personalities were apprehended during a buy-bust operation conducted by anti-narcotics operatives on December 4, 2024, at around 8:30 PM in Barangay Silway 7.

The operation was carried out by joint forces of the PDEA Regional Special Enforcement Team, PDEA South Cotabato and Sarangani Provincial Offices, PDEA ROXII Interdiction Units, South Cotabato Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Polomolok Municipal Police Station.

The suspects were identified as Clint Pajol Subaldo alias Toto, 24; Darryl Patrimonio Eleccion, 20; Marco Ricardo Publico, 20; Lorgen Jay Legpitan Lopez, 18; and Ryuki Vincent Lariosa, 18. All are residents of Koronadal City.

Seized during the operation were two bricks of suspected marijuana leaves, 50 grams of suspected marijuana leaves stored in a pouch, and 15 mL of suspected marijuana oil contained in a vial. The total value of the confiscated items is estimated at Php 298,500. Authorities also recovered assorted drug paraphernalia and buy-bust money.

The suspects are now in custody and will face charges for violating Sections 5, 11, and 12, in relation to Section 26, of Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Authorities emphasized their commitment to combatting illegal drugs and ensuring the safety of communities in South Cotabato and beyond.
