VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — Five individuals were arrested in a series of anti-illegal drug buy-bust operations conducted by police in Valencia City from the morning of October 10 until the early hours of October 11, 2026, resulting in the seizure of suspected shabu with an estimated street drug price (SDP) of ₱841,160.

The operations were carried out in four separate locations across the city as part of continuing law enforcement efforts to curb the distribution of illegal drugs and strengthen public safety in local communities.

The first operation took place at 11:11 a.m. on October 10 in Purok 2B, Barangay Colonia, where authorities arrested alias “Dodong,” 26, a driver and resident of Dangcagan, Bukidnon. Police reportedly seized suspected shabu with an estimated street drug price of ₱714,000, accounting for the bulk of the illegal drugs recovered during the four operations.

In a separate operation at 2:02 p.m. the same day, police arrested alias “Jojo,” 26, an unemployed individual residing in Old Kibawe, Bukidnon. The operation was conducted in Purok 18, Barangay Poblacion, where suspected shabu valued at approximately ₱42,160 was confiscated.

Later that night, at around 11:24 p.m., authorities conducted another buy-bust operation in Purok 4, Barangay Bagontaas. The operation resulted in the arrest of two individuals identified by their aliases as “Warren,” 30, a painter, and “Dagul,” 25, an electrician. Both are residents of Barangay Bagontaas, Valencia City. The suspected shabu recovered during the operation had an estimated street drug price of ₱62,560.

The fourth operation was conducted at 2:06 a.m. on October 11 in Purok 6, Barangay Colonia, leading to the arrest of alias “Justin,” 23, a construction worker and resident of Barangay Bagontaas, Valencia City. Police seized suspected shabu with an estimated street drug price of ₱22,440 during the operation.

Combined, the four operations resulted in the arrest of five individuals and the confiscation of suspected shabu with a total estimated street drug price of ₱841,160.

The operations were jointly conducted by the Bukidnon Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Valencia City Police Station, with support from the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit and the City Anti-Drugs Special Unit Team (CADSUT) under the Office of the City Mayor.

The five arrested individuals are currently under the custody of the Valencia City Police Station for proper disposition and the appropriate legal proceedings.

The City Government of Valencia continues to support anti-illegal drug operations as part of its broader efforts to strengthen peace and order and protect communities from the effects of illegal drug activities.

Under the administration of Mayor Amie Galario, in coordination with the 10th Sangguniang Panlungsod led by Vice Mayor Greizl Galario-Fernandez, the local government is continuing to strengthen coordination with law enforcement agencies to support anti-drug operations and maintain peace and security throughout the city.

Authorities have yet to provide further details on the specific charges filed against the arrested individuals.

The arrests underscore the continuing enforcement campaign against illegal drugs in Valencia City, with authorities maintaining operations aimed at disrupting the distribution of prohibited substances and promoting safer communities.

All five individuals remain entitled to the presumption of innocence unless proven guilty in court.
