ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat — Two alleged drug personalities were arrested after a late-night buy-bust operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 106.57 grams of suspected shabu in Barangay Kalawag III, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, on September 21, 2026.
The operation was conducted at about 10:55 p.m. by joint elements of the Police Intelligence Unit/Sultan Kudarat Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Isulan Municipal Police Station, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 12.
Authorities identified the arrested suspects by their aliases as “Mark,” 24, and “Hyro,” 39, with the latter reportedly classified by authorities as a High Value Individual in the illegal drug trade.
Police said the operation began after a poseur-buyer allegedly purchased one sachet of suspected shabu for ₱1,000 from the suspects. Following the transaction, law enforcement personnel proceeded with the arrest and search.
A subsequent search allegedly resulted in the recovery of two additional sachets of suspected shabu from alias “Hyro.”
Authorities placed the combined gross weight of the confiscated suspected illegal drugs at approximately 106.57 grams, with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of ₱724,676.
Aside from the suspected shabu, law enforcement personnel also recovered the marked money used in the operation, a red Honda RS 150 motorcycle, a Vivo mobile phone, and a black pouch.
The suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and were placed under police custody following the operation.
Authorities said the confiscated substances will be submitted to a laboratory for qualitative and quantitative examination to determine their actual composition and weight. The seized items will also be processed as evidence in the filing of the appropriate cases.
The two suspects are expected to face charges for alleged violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, covering the alleged sale and possession of dangerous drugs.
The case will be referred to the prosecutor’s office for the appropriate legal proceedings.
As of the initial police report, the allegations against the two arrested individuals remain subject to the investigation and prosecution process. The confiscated material is likewise still described as suspected shabu pending laboratory confirmation.
