DAVAO CITY — Two suspected drug personalities were arrested during a law enforcement operation in Davao City on June 3, 2026, as authorities intensified efforts to curb the illegal drug trade in the region.

The operation was carried out through the joint efforts of Task Group Falcon under Task Force Davao and the Philippine National Police (PNP), resulting in the apprehension of two men believed to be involved in the transport of illegal drugs.
Authorities identified the suspects only by their aliases, “Jude,” 42, a married farmer, and “Nathan,” 46, a married driver. Both are residents of Bansalan, Davao del Sur.
According to reports, the two suspects were traveling aboard a gray Honda Click motorcycle from Bansalan toward Davao City when they were intercepted by law enforcement personnel during the operation.
Recovered from their possession were nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu. Authorities said the confiscated drugs weighed approximately 32.24 grams and carried an estimated street value of ₱219,232.
In addition to the suspected illegal drugs, operatives also seized a drug paraphernalia commonly referred to as a “tooter,” which is often used for the consumption of prohibited substances.
Officials said the marking and inventory of the confiscated evidence were conducted in accordance with established legal procedures. The process was witnessed by a barangay kagawad from Barangay Sirawan and a representative from the media to ensure transparency and compliance with evidentiary requirements under the law.
The arrested suspects, along with the confiscated items, were turned over to Police Station 8 of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) for proper documentation, investigation, and the filing of appropriate charges.
Authorities emphasized that the successful operation underscores the continuing collaboration between Task Force Davao and the Philippine National Police in the government’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs.
Law enforcement officials reiterated their commitment to dismantling drug networks and preventing the proliferation of illegal substances, stressing that sustained inter-agency cooperation remains crucial in protecting communities from the harmful effects of the narcotics trade.
The arrest is expected to contribute to ongoing efforts to disrupt the movement of illegal drugs entering Davao City and neighboring areas, while reinforcing the government’s broader objective of maintaining peace, public safety, and order throughout the region.
