LIBUNGAN, Cotabato — Two drug suspects were arrested during a successful anti-illegal drug operation conducted by the Libungan Municipal Police Station in Purok 7, Poblacion, Libungan, Cotabato on Monday, May 11, 2026.

The operation, carried out through the implementation of a search warrant, was backed by various units of the Philippine National Police (PNP), along with barangay officials and media representatives who served as witnesses during the raid.
Authorities confiscated suspected shabu weighing approximately 50.31 grams with an estimated Standard Drug Price of ₱342,108.00. Also recovered from the area were several drug paraphernalia and additional sachets containing suspected illegal drugs allegedly owned by the arrested suspects.
Police said all pieces of evidence were properly inventoried and documented before being turned over to the Cotabato Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
The suspects were subsequently brought to the police station for documentation and medical examination. Charges for violations of Sections 6 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are now being prepared against them.
According to Ramel B. Hojilla, the operation highlights the continuing intensified campaign of the police against illegal drugs in the province.
Hojilla commended the operatives for their swift coordination and orderly execution of the operation, emphasizing that such actions reflect the firm commitment of the PNP to safeguard communities and maintain peace and order in Cotabato.
He added that the successful operation serves as proof of the police force’s determination to ensure a safer and more secure environment for all residents in the province.
