ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat — An electrical contractor was found dead inside his rented boarding house in Purok Bagong Lipunan, Barangay Kenram, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat on Friday afternoon, May 9, 2026, prompting an ongoing investigation by local authorities.

The victim was identified by police as Alexander Pardinas, a married man and an electrical contractor employed by Kenram Philippines Industrial Incorporated (KPII). He was a resident of Barangay Kaburan, Jose Abad Santos, Davao del Sur, but had been temporarily staying in a boarding house in Isulan due to his work assignment in the area.

According to the initial investigation conducted by the Isulan Municipal Police Station, Pardinas was discovered lifeless inside his room. Authorities said initial findings suggest that the victim may have died by suicide after allegedly using a nylon rope.

Police officers immediately secured and processed the crime scene with the assistance of the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Forensic Unit to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and to rule out possible foul play.

Investigators revealed that the victim’s co-workers disclosed that Pardinas had reportedly shared some personal and family-related problems prior to the incident.

The remains of the victim were brought to Raffy Funeral Homes in Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted as part of the ongoing investigation.

Authorities emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing to establish the full details behind the death and to ensure that no foul play was involved.

The incident has saddened the victim’s colleagues and residents in the area, as many expressed shock over the sudden tragedy involving the contractor who had been working in the province.
