A 41-year-old man was arrested after allegedly threatening a delivery rider with a firearm and violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act in Pagadian City on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

According to police reports, the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. in Purok Riverside, Barangay Balangasan. The suspect was apprehended following a complaint filed by a 34-year-old delivery rider at the Pagadian City Police Station (CPS).
The complainant alleged that the suspect pointed a gun at him while he was conducting a delivery in the area, prompting him to immediately seek assistance from authorities.
Acting swiftly on the report, responding personnel from the Pagadian CPS proceeded to the location where the complainant positively identified the suspect.
During the arrest, operatives recovered one caliber .45 pistol without a serial number, along with a magazine loaded with five live rounds of ammunition.
Police further disclosed that the suspect failed to present a valid License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) and other necessary documents for the firearm, resulting in additional charges under Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Authorities brought the arrested individual, along with the confiscated firearm, to the custody of the Pagadian CPS for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate criminal charges.
The investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
