CABANGLASAN, Bukidnon — A suspected high-value drug personality was arrested in a late-night police operation that led to the seizure of illegal drugs worth approximately P442,000 in Purok 2, Barangay Capinonan on April 11, 2026.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Tin-tin,” 44, married, and a resident of the area, was apprehended during the تنفيذ of a Search and Seizure Warrant operation conducted at around 8:25 p.m. Authorities tagged him as a High Value Individual (HVI) involved in the local drug trade.
The operation stemmed from Search Warrant No. 16-26 issued on April 7, 2026 by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 46 in Malaybalay City, under Republic Act No. 9165.
Large Drug Haul Recovered
Joint operatives from the Cabanglasan Municipal Police Station, the 1st Bukidnon Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit carried out the operation, resulting in the confiscation of:
- 12 large sachets and 7 small sachets of suspected shabu
- 1 sachet of suspected marijuana
- Drug paraphernalia including a weighing scale, scissors, lighter, and an improvised tooter
Authorities said the total weight of the seized shabu reached approximately 65 grams, with an estimated street value of P442,000. The marijuana, weighing around one gram, was valued at P120.
Police described the arrest as a significant breakthrough, noting that the suspect had long been monitored for alleged involvement in illegal drug distribution in the municipality.
Charges Filed, Evidence Under Examination
Following the arrest, the suspect was taken into custody and is currently detained at the Cabanglasan Municipal Police Station detention facility. Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are being prepared against him.
Meanwhile, the confiscated substances have been turned over to the forensic unit for laboratory examination to confirm their composition.
Local authorities underscored the operation as part of their intensified campaign against illegal drugs, emphasizing their commitment to dismantling drug networks and maintaining peace and order in Bukidnon.
