ZAMBOANGA CITY — A joint anti-drug operation led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 9 (PDEA RO9) resulted in the arrest of four suspects and the dismantling of an alleged drug den in Barangay Camino Nuevo on the evening of November 25, 2025.

The search warrant operation, carried out at around 7:08 p.m., was spearheaded by the PDEA RO9 Zamboanga City Office with reinforcement from the PDEA RO9 Airport Interdiction Unit–ZC, PDEA RO9 RSET Team 2, and the PNP Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9.

Authorities seized approximately 11 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of ₱74,800, along with marked money, drug paraphernalia, and various non-drug items believed to be linked to the illegal operation.

Arrested during the raid were four individuals identified only by their aliases: Ivy, 37; Faizal, 41; “Dondon”, 45; and Dennis, 18 — all residents of Barangay Camino Nuevo.

The suspects are now facing multiple charges for violating Sections 6 (Maintenance of a Drug Den), 7 (Employees and Visitors of a Drug Den), 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), and 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PDEA RO9 emphasized that the operation underscores its intensified campaign against drug dens and illicit drug activities in the Zamboanga Peninsula. Authorities said the arrested individuals remain under custodial investigation pending the filing of appropriate charges.
