At around 8:40 a.m., alias Jumar, 33, single, and a resident of San Fernando, yielded to the 1003rd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 10 in Barangay Halapitan.

Authorities identified him as the Team Leader of Squad Uno, Platoon Dos, Guerilla Front Malayag. He also turned over a homemade caliber 5.56 revolver pistol along with four live rounds.

The surrender was made possible through the joint efforts of multiple units, including the 1003rd and 1004th Maneuver Companies, RMFB 10, San Fernando Municipal Police Station, Bukidnon Provincial Mobile Force Companies, Philippine National Police–Special Action Force, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency Region 10, the 89th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army, and other supporting security and intelligence units.

Jumar is currently under the custody of the 1003rd Maneuver Company for custodial debriefing and profiling.

Police Brigadier General Rolindo M. Suguilon, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10, lauded the coordinated efforts of security forces and stressed the significance of the rebel’s decision to return to the fold of the law.

“This only shows that our intensified peace and security efforts are working. It also reflects the growing trust of rebels in the government’s sincerity to provide them with a chance to start anew. We continue to call on the remaining members of the CTG to lay down their arms and embrace the opportunity to live peacefully with their families,” Suguilon said.

PRO-10 reiterated its commitment, in partnership with the Armed Forces of the Philippines and other government agencies, to sustain peace-building efforts and enhance reintegration programs for former rebels across Northern Mindanao.
