Cagayan de Oro City — June 8, 2025 — A total of 144 individuals were apprehended and over ₱5 million worth of illegal drugs and contraband were seized during a series of intensified police operations conducted by the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) across Northern Mindanao from May 30 to June 5, 2025.

The week-long crackdown targeted various criminal activities, with the largest impact seen in the anti-illegal drugs campaign. A total of 54 operations led to the arrest of 62 suspects and the seizure of 734.254 grams of suspected shabu, valued at ₱4,992,927 based on the Standard Drug Price (SDP).

In the campaign against illegal gambling, three operations resulted in the arrest of 12 individuals and the confiscation of gambling paraphernalia worth ₱1,388.

Meanwhile, the region-wide manhunt for fugitives yielded significant results, with 67 wanted persons arrested. Among them were six individuals categorized as Most Wanted Persons, while the rest were classified as other wanted individuals.

Under the “Kontra Boga” campaign against loose firearms, PRO10 conducted 11 operations. These led to the arrest of three individuals and the recovery, surrender, or confiscation of eight small arms and one light weapon.

In the effort to curb smuggling, authorities also carried out 10 operations, which led to the seizure of smuggled cigarettes amounting to ₱159,580.

PRO10 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Jaysen C. De Guzman commended the dedication and courage of police personnel behind the operations.

“This successful operation reflects our steadfast dedication to eliminating drugs and criminal elements from our communities. Each arrest and every gram of confiscated drugs brings us closer to a safer and more secure Northern Mindanao,” he said.

PRO10 reaffirmed its commitment to proactive, intelligence-driven operations in the continued fight against illegal drugs and other criminal activities, assuring the public of its relentless efforts to maintain peace and order in the region.
