Bukidnon — June 2025 — Law enforcement authorities successfully apprehended two most wanted individuals in separate police operations conducted in the municipalities of Manolo Fortich and Talakag, Bukidnon, both facing serious charges of rape and sexual assault.

In Manolo Fortich, personnel of the Manolo Fortich Municipal Police Station led by PLTCOL Evary E. Bacunawa, Officer-in-Charge, arrested a 26-year-old male resident of Purok-13, Barangay Damilag. The suspect, who is jobless, was listed as the Top 7 Most Wanted Person at the City Level. He was arrested in Barangay Tankulan on the strength of a warrant of arrest for Sexual Assault under Article 266(A)-2 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC) in relation to Section 5(B), Article III of Republic Act 7610. The criminal cases filed against him are docketed as R-CDO-25-01564 and R-CDO-25-01565, issued on May 22, 2025, with a recommended bail bond of Php 360,000. The suspect is now in police custody for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, in Sitio Tinaytayan, Barangay San Miguel, Talakag, another high-value target was apprehended during a police operation led by PMAJ Kevin P. Bangsoy, Chief of Police of Talakag Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the 1004th Mobile Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10, Task Group Manhunt Bukidnon PPO, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit.

The arrested individual, a 39-year-old farmer and resident of the same barangay, was identified as the Top 4 Most Wanted at the Regional Level, Top 6 at the Provincial Level, and Top 1 at the Municipal Level. He was captured by virtue of a warrant of arrest for Three Counts of Rape under Article 266 of the RPC, as amended by Republic Act 8353. The cases are docketed as CC# 25-05-8833, 25-05-0034, and 25-05-8835, dated May 26, 2025. No bail was recommended for the charges. The suspect is currently under the custody of the Talakag police for documentation and further legal proceedings.
