The Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 has reported the arrest of more than 1,200 fugitives across the Caraga Region during its intensified manhunt operations from January 1 to May 31, 2025.
In a statement released from Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez in Butuan City, PRO13 Regional Director PBGen Christopher N. Abrahano said a total of 1,269 individuals were apprehended during the five-month campaign. The figure includes 266 most wanted persons and 1,003 other wanted individuals.
Leading the crackdown was the Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office, which registered 331 arrests. It was followed by Surigao del Norte with 277 arrests, and Agusan del Sur with 241. The Butuan City Police Office contributed 235 arrests, while Agusan del Norte and Dinagat Islands police offices reported 161 and 24 arrests, respectively.
“More apprehensions are expected as we intensify the implementation of warrants of arrest, in line with the directive of our Chief, PNP, PGen Nicolas D. Torre III,” Abrahano said.
PRO13’s momentum continued into June, with 14 additional wanted persons arrested on June 2.
The ongoing operations are part of the region’s sustained efforts to curb criminality and ensure justice is served across communities in Caraga.
