Tagum City — Laughter and joy filled the Energy Park in Brgy. Apokon as children from various Child Development Centers (CDCs) warmly welcomed the official opening of the new Children’s Park, a vibrant addition to the city’s growing recreational spaces.

The blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Mayor Rey T. Uy, along with city officials and department heads from the local government. During the event, Mayor Uy expressed his commitment to promoting health, happiness, and energy among young Tagumenyos through engaging physical activities.
“This is just Phase 1 of the entire Children and Water Park project,” Mayor Uy announced, highlighting the exciting developments still to come. According to him, upcoming features will include a Water Park and a Wall Climbing area, designed to offer more fun and memorable experiences for children and families alike.
Additional amenities such as gazebos, a canteen, wash areas, and other facilities are also being built to ensure comfort and convenience for all park visitors.
“Let’s all come and play at the Children’s Park with the whole family!” the city government invites.
The initiative reflects the city’s ongoing efforts to create safe, inclusive, and enjoyable public spaces for every Tagumenyo — especially its youngest citizens.
