Cotabato – April 24, 2025 — In a major breakthrough for law enforcement in Region 12, joint police and military forces successfully apprehended one of the region’s most wanted individuals during a focused operation in Sitio 4, Barangay Pagangan, Aleosan, Cotabato.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Dino,” 55 years old and listed as the Top 10 Regional Most Wanted Person, was arrested during a law enforcement operation led by personnel from various units. These included the Aleosan, Kabacan, Libungan, Pigcawayan, Carmen, and Alamada Municipal Police Stations; Cotabato Police Provincial Office’s PIU, 1st and 2nd CPMFC; PHQ Medical Team; along with elements from RIU 12, RID 12, the 1203rd Maneuver Company of RMFB 12, and the 34th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army.

Authorities served a Search Warrant and Warrant of Arrest for murder against the suspect. During the search, law enforcers confiscated a homemade caliber .45 pistol, a steel magazine, and seven rounds of ammunition.

The suspect and the seized items were brought to Aleosan Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and disposition. Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and the implementation of the Warrant of Arrest for murder are currently being processed.

Police Regional Office 12 Regional Director PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente lauded the team effort and emphasized the significance of the arrest. “The arrest of a regional most wanted individual is a major step toward preventing further violence, especially now as we enter the election season. PRO 12 remains committed to ensuring that peace prevails and that our communities are free from fear and criminal threats,” he said.

The successful operation reflects PRO 12’s intensified campaign to capture fugitives and maintain public safety, particularly during the sensitive election period.
