General Santos City — A search warrant operation in Barangay Fatima, General Santos City led to the arrest of four drug suspects and the confiscation of over ₱195,000 worth of suspected shabu on April 24, 2025.
Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) reported that joint forces from Police Station 7, SWAT/City Mobile Force Company, City Intelligence Unit, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12, and the Regional Intelligence Division carried out the successful operation at MC Village, Block 5.
Arrested during the operation were individuals identified by their aliases: “Batok,” 55; “Ahmad,” 44; “Jeody,” 31; and “Danny,” all residents of the said village.
Authorities recovered 12 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 22.75 grams, valued at ₱195,392.00 based on the National Standard Drug Price. Also seized were assorted drug paraphernalia and a caliber .38 revolver loaded with six live rounds of ammunition.
The suspects are currently detained at Police Station 7 and are facing charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO 12, emphasized the importance of the operation as the election period nears.
“The presence of illegal drugs and firearms poses a serious threat to peace and order. This operation is part of our proactive approach to prevent lawlessness and ensure a secure environment for our citizens to freely and safely exercise their right to vote,” Ardiente said.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining intensified anti-criminality operations to maintain public safety in the region.
