DAVAO CITY — Two siblings were arrested by authorities during the implementation of a search warrant operation that led to the seizure of suspected illegal drugs worth nearly half a million pesos and an unlicensed firearm in Barangay Ilang, Davao City on Tuesday morning, June 9, 2026.

The operation was carried out at around 10:25 a.m. by personnel of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and City Special Operations Group (CSOG).
Authorities identified the suspects as alias “Radz,” 23, a laborer and listed as a top-priority illegal drug personality, and his sister, alias “Mariecris,” 25. Both are residents of Bago Uma, Menterbro, Barangay Ilang, Davao City.
According to police reports, operatives recovered several sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱442,000 during the search. Also confiscated were a caliber .45 pistol and several rounds of ammunition allegedly possessed without the necessary legal documents and permits.
The operation stemmed from a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Rowena Apao-Adlawan of the 11th Judicial Region after authorities gathered evidence linking the suspects to illegal drug activities.
The arrested siblings were taken into police custody and are expected to face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act 9165) and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act (Republic Act 10591).
Police officials said the successful operation forms part of the continuing campaign against illegal drugs and loose firearms in Davao City, emphasizing that law enforcement agencies remain relentless in pursuing individuals involved in criminal activities that threaten public safety.
The confiscated suspected shabu, firearm, ammunition, and other pieces of evidence have been turned over to the proper authorities for documentation and forensic examination, while further investigations are underway to determine possible links to a wider illegal drug network operating in the area.
