PRESIDENT QUIRINO, Sultan Kudarat — A man from Paglat, Maguindanao del Sur was shot dead by still unidentified assailants in Barangay Sinakulay on Friday, coinciding with the observance of Good Friday.

The victim was identified only by his alias “Tato,” a resident of Paglat. Initial reports revealed that the victim was in the area when he was suddenly attacked by armed suspects, who remain at large as of this writing.
Authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the killing, as investigators continue to piece together the circumstances surrounding the incident. Witnesses are being sought to provide crucial information that may lead to the identification and arrest of the perpetrators.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has launched an ongoing investigation and intensified operations in the area to track down the suspects. Police are also looking into possible angles, including personal conflict or other related motives.
The incident has raised concern among residents, especially as it occurred during Good Friday, a solemn religious observance when communities traditionally gather for prayer and reflection.
