Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental — December 19, 2025 — Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) has successfully apprehended a high-profile drug suspect during a targeted operation in Barangay Santa Cruz, Tagoloan.

Personnel from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), in coordination with the Tagoloan Municipal Police Station and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, executed a Search Warrant operation in Zone 11, resulting in the arrest of Mae Ann, 53, a female resident of the area and listed as a Top 3 Regional Priority High-Value Individual (HVI).

Mae Ann has been identified as a key figure in the illegal drug trade operating within Tagoloan and nearby areas of Misamis Oriental.

During the operation, authorities seized several heat-sealed sachets containing approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu, valued at an estimated PhP680,000 under the Standard Drug Price (SDP). Law enforcement also confiscated a .38 caliber revolver with four live ammunition and one empty shell, alongside assorted drug paraphernalia and personal items.

The suspect and all confiscated items were turned over to the Tagoloan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. The suspected drugs have been submitted to the Regional Forensic Unit in Cagayan de Oro City for laboratory testing. Authorities are preparing charges for violations of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 and Republic Act 10591 for filing in the appropriate court.

PRO10 Regional Director PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano lauded the teams involved, saying,
“The arrest of a regional high-value individual and the seizure of a substantial quantity of illegal drugs underscore our intensified campaign against illegal drugs and loose firearms. PRO10 remains steadfast in protecting our communities and ensuring public safety across Northern Mindanao.”

This operation is part of PRO10’s ongoing crackdown on illegal drugs and criminal activities, emphasizing the regional police force’s commitment to keeping Northern Mindanao safe.
