GENERAL SANTOS CITY — An unidentified male was found dead at midday on November 21, 2025, in an irrigation canal at Purok 6B, Barangay Katangawan, raising alarm among residents and prompting a full investigation by local authorities.
The victim, estimated to be between 20 to 30 years old, was discovered half-naked with a distinct back tattoo that read “SUKARAP.” Police noted multiple stab wounds on his body, injuries believed to be the cause of death.
Investigators from Police Station 8 are still determining whether the man was killed at the scene or his body was dumped in the area. The circumstances of the killing, including the motive and the identity of those responsible, remain under investigation.
Police Station 8 chief, Police Major Robert Fores, assured the public that a thorough probe is underway and vowed transparency as the case develops. He added that maintaining peace and order in the community remains their priority.
Authorities are calling on anyone who may know the victim or have information that can help identify him to immediately contact Police Station 8. The victim’s remains are currently at Villa Funeral Homes.
Police also appealed to the public to report any suspicious activities that may aid in solving the case swiftly.
