GENERAL SANTOS CITY — Authorities have confirmed the identity of the male body found floating in an irrigation canal in Barangay Katangawan on November 21, 2025. The victim was identified as Suji Mohamadsali, 18, a resident of Zone 2B, Purok Kulasi, Barangay Labangal.
Mohamadsali’s wife, Ismaraya Mohadmadsali, personally went to the funeral home where the remains were brought and positively identified the body. She declined to provide additional details about her husband or any possible background that may shed light on the killing.
Investigators said the victim sustained multiple stab wounds on his back, injuries believed to have caused his immediate death. Police are also looking into whether the killing occurred at the site or if the body was dumped in the canal.
Police Station 8 has launched a full investigation to determine the motive behind the brutal attack and identify the suspect or suspects involved. Law enforcers are appealing to the public for any information that may help in resolving the case.
Authorities assured residents that efforts are underway to maintain peace and order as the investigation continues.
