CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Three students from Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon fell victim to a robbery incident along the Coastal Road in Barangay Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City, early morning of November 11, 2025.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. when the three victims, who had just come from a drinking session at a nearby bar, were walking along the coastal road. They were suddenly approached by three unidentified suspects who threatened them with a knife and demanded their belongings.

During the commotion, one of the victims attempted to fight back but was overpowered and sustained three stab wounds to his leg. The suspects then fled the scene after taking a cellphone and a wallet containing an undisclosed amount of money.

Responding authorities immediately assisted the injured student and launched a hot pursuit operation to track down the suspects.

Police are now conducting a thorough investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the robbery and stabbing incident.

Authorities remind the public, especially students, to avoid walking alone in dimly lit or isolated areas during late hours to prevent similar incidents.
