MATALAM, North Cotabato — Three suspected carnappers landed in jail after falling into an entrapment operation launched by Matalam police on Sunday morning, November 16, 2025, following an attempted transaction over a stolen motorcycle with its real owner.

The victim, identified as Norsahid Dimalen Guiamalodin of Barangay East Patadon, Kidapawan City, pretended to be a buyer after discovering that his stolen Honda CRF with temporary plate number 1201-000007592 was being sold online. Authorities immediately set up the entrapment in coordination with Guiamalodin.

At around 9:00 a.m., police operatives arrested the three suspects, identified as Samer Patugan Salik, 26, of Maulana, SGA–BARMM; Montane Esmael Salik, 25, of Takepan, SGA–BARMM; and Abdul Dalingawen Jomar, 24, of Dilangalen.

During the operation, authorities also recovered another motorcycle registered to Moctahir Totin Abid of Barangay Pisan, Kabacan, North Cotabato, raising further concerns of a broader carnapping activity involving the group.

The suspects are now detained at the Matalam PNP locked-up cell and are slated to face appropriate criminal charges as the investigation continues.
