The provincial government, led by Governor Raul Mabanglo, was honored for its sustained efforts in assisting former rebels during the WE STRIVE: ECLIP National Summit held from November 13–14 in Manila.

The province received ₱5 million under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). ECLIP provides financial assistance, livelihood support, and other reintegration interventions to help former rebels rebuild their lives and reintegrate peacefully into their communities.

The grant will fund the construction of a Halfway House in Barangay Libasan, Nabunturan, which will serve as a temporary shelter and transition facility for former rebels as they undergo various reintegration processes, skills training, and psychosocial interventions.

Governor Mabanglo reaffirmed the province’s unwavering support for those returning to the fold of the law, saying, “This government will walk with you, step by step, until you fully reintegrate as empowered, productive members of society.”

The recognition highlights the provincial government’s strong commitment to peacebuilding through programs and initiatives designed to assist former rebels in becoming productive and contributing members of the community.
