GENERAL SANTOS CITY — Authorities confiscated ammunition and suspected shabu valued at ₱74,800 during the implementation of a search warrant in Barangay San Jose, General Santos City, on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

In its intensified campaign against illegal drugs and loose firearms, the General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) launched the operation at Purok Ondok Gawan, leading to the arrest of a 29-year-old suspect identified only as alias “Anjo.”

Joint elements from Police Station 7, GSCPO, along with operatives from SWAT/CMFC-GSCPO, MARPSTA 12, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion’s Technical Support Company, executed the search warrant for violations of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession were one steel magazine with four live ammunition of caliber .45, two live ammunition of caliber .38, and four sachets of suspected shabu weighing a total of 11 grams, with a standard drug price of ₱74,800.

The suspect is currently detained at Police Station 7 and faces charges for violating RA 10591 and RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The seized items have been turned over to the General Santos City Forensic Unit-12 for laboratory examination.

PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 12, lauded the successful operation, stressing the importance of community vigilance in combating crime.

“This accomplishment reflects our resolve to safeguard our communities from the dual threats of illegal drugs and loose firearms. We call on the public to remain vigilant and continue supporting our efforts to ensure peace, order, and safety,” Ardiente said.
