Siasi, Sulu — A spirit of unity and service marked a community outreach initiative led by the 104th Infantry “Para sa Bayan” Battalion on September 7, in partnership with the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) community and local officials of Barangay Nipa-Nipa.

The activity, spearheaded by LTC Roy R. Dalumpines (INF) PA, Commanding Officer, together with MAJ Ron Albert R. Tumasis (INF) PA, Executive Officer, brought together the military, the MNLF community headed by leader Mr. Badun E. Awis, and Barangay Chairwoman Hon. Faida A. Asiri.

Among the highlights of the day were a clean-up drive, tree planting activity, book distribution, and a feeding program that benefited 52 children and 42 elderly residents. The program aimed to foster stronger ties between the military and civilians, promote peace and harmony, and nurture the youth as the hope of the nation.

According to the organizers, the initiative reflects the shared commitment of the security sector and local stakeholders to work hand in hand for peace and progress in Siasi.

“Through unity and compassion, development becomes possible,” the battalion said, underscoring their mission of service with a heart — Para sa Bayan, Para sa Kapayapaan.
