KALILANGAN, BUKIDNON — August 8, 2025 — A high-value drug suspect and his female companion were arrested in a successful anti-illegal drugs operation led by the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station on Tuesday, resulting in the confiscation of nearly PHP 2.1 million worth of suspected shabu.

The joint operation was carried out by the Kalilangan MPS under the leadership of PCPT Romeo M. Arcilla Jr., Officer-in-Charge, in coordination with the 2nd Platoon of the 1004th Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit.

Arrested was a 23-year-old male known by the alias “Odak,” a resident of Purok 5, Poblacion, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro. Also apprehended was a 19-year-old female resident of Montivesta, Davao de Oro.

Authorities reported that the operation led to the seizure of a total of 298.20 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated standard drug price of PHP 2,027,760.00.

The physical inventory of the confiscated items was conducted at the scene of the arrest and witnessed by a barangay kagawad from Barangay Central Poblacion, Kalilangan and a local media representative, in compliance with standard procedure.

The suspects, along with the recovered evidence, were brought to the Kalilangan Police Station for documentation and proper disposition. The confiscated drugs will be submitted to the Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination. A case for Violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is currently being prepared for inquest proceedings.

The arrest of a high-value individual like “Odak” is seen as a major blow to illegal drug operations in the region and a testament to Bukidnon’s continuing efforts to maintain peace and order.
