LAMBAYONG, Sultan Kudarat — Authorities arrested two suspected drug peddlers and seized more than ₱370,000 worth of suspected shabu in a successful anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Tumiao, Lambayong on Friday, June 28.

The operation was carried out through a buy-bust led by combined forces of the Lambayong Municipal Police Station, the Provincial Intelligence Unit, and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, all under the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office and the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12).

The suspects, identified only by their aliases “Odin,” 29, from Datu Anggal Midtimbang, Maguindanao del Sur, and “Lino,” 27, from Talayan, Maguindanao del Sur, were caught in the act during the sting operation at Purok 4, Barangay Tumiao.

Seized from the suspects were three sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 55.5 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱377,400 based on the National Standard Drug Price. Authorities also recovered the marked ₱1,000 bill used in the transaction.

The suspects are now under the custody of the Lambayong Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and the filing of appropriate charges in accordance with the law.

PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO 12, emphasized that the operation reflects the police force’s continuing commitment to dismantle drug networks in the region.

“The confiscation of over ₱377,000 worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of the suspects highlight our unwavering drive to end drug activities in the region. These could have been used to fuel criminal acts. We will persist with aggressive operations to keep our communities safe,” Ardiente said.

PRO 12 assured the public that intensified, intelligence-driven operations will continue across SOCCSKSARGEN to combat the illegal drug trade and ensure peace and order in local communities.
