Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat – A target-listed individual and two of his associates were arrested in a buy-bust operation that led to the dismantling of a drug den in Purok Baganihan, Brgy. Kapingkong, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat, on February 20, 2025, at around 9:30 AM.
According to Regional Director Benjamin C. Recites III of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 12, the arrested suspects were identified as Alias Brilyann, 39, the owner of the drug den; Alias Bagani, 47, an employee of the drug den; and Alias Joseph, 37, a visitor at the facility.
Authorities had been monitoring Alias Brilyann since July 2024 due to his involvement in illegal drug activities. He frequently changed locations to evade arrest but recently settled in Brgy. Kapingkong, where he resumed his drug operations.
Confiscated during the operation were three sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) weighing approximately 7.5 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱51,000. Additionally, sachets and foil strips containing traces of shabu, along with various drug paraphernalia, were recovered.
The suspects are currently detained at the PDEA RO12 Custodial Facility, facing charges for violating Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The operation was a joint effort by the PDEA Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office, PDEA National Special Enforcement Team Mindanao 3, Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office, Lambayong Municipal Police Station, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ 23rd Mechanized Infantry Company, 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion.
