LAMBAYONG, Sultan Kudarat — A high-value target was arrested and more than ₱240,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated in a joint anti-drug operation led by the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO-12) on Saturday evening, November 2.
Authorities identified the suspect only as alias “Junjun,” 25, married, a cellphone technician, and a resident of Barangay Kalipapa, Datu Piang, Maguindanao del Sur. He was apprehended around 6:42 p.m. during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Didtaras, Lambayong.
The operation was carried out by joint elements of the Lambayong Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office, and the 1202nd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 12.
Confiscated from the suspect were two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing about 35.5 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱241,400, a ₱1,000 marked buy-bust bill, a Samsung cellphone, and a Kawasaki Bajaj 125cc motorcycle allegedly used during the illegal transaction.
The suspect and the seized items are now in the custody of the Lambayong Municipal Police Station for documentation and the filing of appropriate charges.
In a statement, Police Brigadier General Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO-12, praised the operating teams for their dedication and successful coordination that led to the suspect’s arrest.
“I commend the teamwork and vigilance of our operatives who continue to embody our commitment to a drug-free community. Let this serve as a stern warning to those still involved in this illicit trade—your days are numbered,” PBGEN Ardiente said.
The latest operation forms part of the continuing campaign of PRO-12 and its partner agencies to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs across the region.
