Kalilangan, Bukidnon – A high-value drug suspect and his live-in partner were arrested in a successful buy-bust operation conducted by police authorities on Thursday, July 18, in Barangay Bangbang, Kalilangan, Bukidnon.

Led by PCPT Romeo M. Arcilla Jr., Officer-in-Charge of Kalilangan Municipal Police Station, and in coordination with Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (1004th Company, 2nd Platoon) and the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit, the operation resulted in the arrest of a 31-year-old jobless man known by the alias “Longlong,” and his 32-year-old live-in partner, a self-employed woman. Both are residents of Purok 1, Kiharong, Maramag, Bukidnon.

Authorities confiscated a total of approximately 104.9 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated standard drug price of Php 713,310.00.

The suspects will face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PCOL Culanay, in a statement, lauded the prompt and coordinated action of law enforcement teams, saying,

“I commend the swift action of our personnel that led to the success of this operation, underscoring our unwavering commitment to fight against illegal drugs. Let this serve as a clear warning that we will not tolerate any form of drug activity in our province.”

The suspects and the seized items were brought to the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station for proper documentation. The confiscated drugs will be turned over to the Provincial Forensic Unit for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
