CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – In a disturbing case of online sexual exploitation, police authorities in Northern Mindanao arrested a woman in Iligan City for allegedly selling explicit images of her own children to foreign individuals online.
The successful entrapment, rescue operation, and implementation of a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD) were carried out by Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) at around 3:19 PM on June 20, 2025, in Purok 6, Barangay Tambacan.
The suspect, a 35-year-old jobless woman known by the aliases “Annierose Serida” and “Einna Esor Adires Serajap,” is now in police custody. She faces charges for violating Republic Act No. 11930, or the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act.
Authorities revealed that the suspect is the biological mother of the three minor victims—two boys and one girl—who were rescued during the operation. According to initial findings, the mother had been producing and selling explicit photos of her children to foreign buyers through online platforms.
The coordinated operation was conducted by the Iligan City Police Office (ICPO) Task Force OSAEC, in partnership with ICPS 4, the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 10 – Lanao del Norte Provincial Cyber Response Team, and the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Office of Iligan City.
The rescued minors have been turned over to the CSWD Children Assessment and Processing Center for care and rehabilitation.
PBGEN Rolindo M. Suguilon, Regional Director of PRO10, commended the swift action and teamwork displayed by the operating units.
“This operation demonstrates our unwavering commitment to safeguarding children from the dangers of online sexual abuse and exploitation. We will not rest until every child in Northern Mindanao is protected from these despicable crimes,” Suguilon stated.
Authorities continue to urge the public to report any incidents of online child exploitation and abuse through proper channels as they intensify their campaign to protect vulnerable children from digital predators.
