LAMBAYONG, Sultan Kudarat — Two alleged drug personalities were arrested and suspected shabu valued at ₱76,000 was confiscated in a buy-bust operation conducted by police authorities on April 16, 2025, at Purok Bonifacio, Barangay Maligaya, this town.
The joint anti-drug operation was spearheaded by the Lambayong Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office (SKPPO), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Authorities identified the suspects as alias “Ahmed,” 36, a resident of Sitio Papakan, Barangay Bulod, Sultan Sa Barongis, Maguindanao Del Sur; and alias “Epiong,” 42, from Purok Namnama, Barangay Poblacion, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat.
Seized from the suspects were four sachets containing a total of 10.5 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of ₱76,000, along with a marked ₱1,000 bill used as buy-bust money.
The suspects are now in the custody of Lambayong Municipal Police Station, while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against them.
In a statement, Police Brigadier General Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO 12, reiterated the police force’s commitment to curbing the illegal drug trade in the region.
“Let this serve as a stern warning to those who continue to engage in illegal drug activities — your days are numbered. We will be relentless in our efforts to protect our communities and uphold the law,” Ardiente said.
