CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Misamis Oriental – April 2, 2025 – A buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 10 – Misamis Oriental Provincial Office, in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) and the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) PS5, led to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer in Barangay Consolacion, Cagayan de Oro City.
Authorities apprehended a 46-year-old suspect, identified as Alias Amag, during the operation. Law enforcement agents seized approximately five grams of illegal substances with an estimated street value of Php 34,000.
The arrested individual will face charges under Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which imposes severe penalties for drug-related offenses.
PDEA Region 10, in collaboration with local law enforcement units, continues to intensify its anti-drug efforts to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs and ensure the safety of the community. Authorities reaffirm their commitment to dismantling drug networks and holding offenders accountable under the law.
