ILIGAN CITY – A high-value drug suspect was arrested in a successful buy-bust operation conducted by the Iligan City Police Office (ICPO) on April 3, 2025, in Purok Greenfields, Barangay Ubaldo Laya.
Authorities identified the suspect only as Alyas “Jam.” The operation, carried out in collaboration with ICPO, Iligan City Police Station 4 (ICPS 4), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), led to the seizure of approximately 117 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 795,600.
Confiscated items included drug paraphernalia, a digital weighing scale, forceps, packaging materials, and two one hundred-peso bills used as buy-bust money.
ICPO reaffirmed its commitment to combatting illegal drugs, emphasizing that the arrest of the suspect is part of its ongoing efforts to dismantle drug networks in the city. Charges against the suspect are currently being prepared for filing.
“We are fully aware of the threats posed by illegal drugs, and we will not dither in our duty to protect our community,” said PCOL Jerry A. Tambis. “This operation underscores our relentless efforts to prevent the proliferation of illegal substances and ensure that justice is served. We urge the public to continue cooperating with us by reporting any suspicious activities.”
