CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division of the Philippine Army has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering stronger partnerships with Indigenous Peoples (IP) communities across Northern Mindanao, following a courtesy call on the Regional Director of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Region 10 on Friday, April 11.
Colonel Rey P. Pasco, Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs of the 4ID, met with NCIP Region 10 Director Fundador Binahon at the agency’s office along Tiano del Pilar Street in this city.
The meeting emphasized the 4ID’s resolve to work hand-in-hand with Indigenous leaders and their communities to promote peace, uphold cultural sensitivity, and strengthen community resilience — especially in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
Col. Pasco noted that the collaboration reflects the Philippine Army’s ongoing commitment, along with partner agencies, to build lasting partnerships anchored on trust, inclusivity, and national unity.
The 4ID continues to carry out community engagement programs across Northern Mindanao aimed at empowering IP communities, fostering mutual respect, and ensuring their voices are heard in efforts toward regional peace and development.
