Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Police Office (ZSBPPO) marked a successful start to its weeklong Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO), achieving 22 major law enforcement accomplishments on March 21, 2025.
Among the key accomplishments was a crackdown on smuggling, which led to the confiscation of PHP 912,900.00 worth of smuggled cigarettes and the arrest of the suspect involved. Authorities also apprehended four wanted persons, including a most wanted individual at the municipal level with standing warrants for various crimes.
In the fight against illegal drugs, two search warrant operations resulted in the arrest of two individuals, including a high-value target involved in drug trafficking. Law enforcement officers seized a substantial quantity of illegal drugs and paraphernalia worth PHP 26,620.00.
Efforts against illegal gambling yielded the arrest of five individuals in two separate operations. Additionally, the campaign against loose firearms and explosives saw the voluntary surrender of nine firearms and two explosives.
The success of these operations reflects the leadership of Police Colonel Barnard Danie V. Dasugo, Provincial Director of ZSBPPO. He emphasized the dedication of the police force and the significance of sustained efforts in maintaining law and order in the province.
Moving forward, ZSBPPO remains committed to its relentless campaign against criminality, ensuring a safer community for the residents of Zamboanga Sibugay.
