January 13, 2025—The Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office (ZSBPPO) marked a significant milestone with its recent Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO), achieving an impressive total of 23 accomplishments in a single day.
This extensive operation showcased the commitment and effectiveness of ZSBPPO personnel, who successfully tackled various criminal activities across the province. Among the most notable accomplishments were:
- Anti-Drug Operations: Authorities arrested five street-level individuals involved in drug trafficking. A considerable amount of illegal drugs and paraphernalia valued at PHP 53,856.00 was confiscated.
- Warrant Arrests: Five individuals with standing warrants for various crimes and offenses were apprehended and taken into custody.
- Illegal Gambling Crackdown: Four operations targeting illegal gambling activities led to the arrest of 12 individuals.
- Anti-Smuggling Efforts: In a major success against smuggling, law enforcement intercepted a shipment of 332 reams of smuggled cigarettes valued at PHP 332,437.00 and arrested the individual responsible.
- Environmental Protection: ZSBPPO’s commitment to safeguarding natural resources resulted in three anti-illegal logging operations and one anti-illegal fishing operation, culminating in the arrest of two individuals.
- Campaign Against Loose Firearms: Three firearms were voluntarily surrendered for safekeeping as part of the ongoing effort to address the proliferation of unregistered weapons.
- Counterinsurgency Measures: One supporter of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) voluntarily surrendered, reflecting the success of the anti-insurgency and anti-terrorism campaign.
The remarkable outcomes of these operations highlight the strong leadership of PCOL Barnard Danie V. Dasugo, Provincial Director of ZSBPPO. He commended the dedication of the personnel and acknowledged the vital role of community support.
