ZAMBOANGA CITY – In a successful joint operation against illegal drugs, the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 9 (PDEA-9), confiscated 15 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP 102,000.00.
The operation was conducted at midnight on March 3, 2025, at Lapu-Lapu Drive, Arena Blanco, Zamboanga City, leading to the arrest of two individuals. The suspects were identified as “RASID” and “AL,” both residents of Barangay Arena Blanco.
Authorities have turned over all recovered sachets of suspected shabu to the Zamboanga City Forensic Unit 9 (ZCFU9) for laboratory analysis. Additionally, a firearm seized during the operation is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 (ZCPS6) for safekeeping and will be submitted as evidence for legal proceedings.
The suspects are currently detained at ZCPS6 and will face appropriate charges in court. The Zamboanga City Police Office, in collaboration with PDEA-9, reaffirmed its commitment to combatting the proliferation of illegal drugs and firearms in the community through continued law enforcement efforts.
