Davao Oriental – Authorities seized an estimated Php384,000 worth of marijuana in an anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 11 on February 13, 2025, in Barangay Baon, San Isidro, Lupon, Davao Oriental.
Police Major Maybard D. Pascual, Chief of RPDEU 11, identified the suspects as alias “Jimboy,” a 36-year-old farmer, and alias “Cris,” a 42-year-old chainsaw operator.
During the operation, law enforcement officers confiscated approximately 1,600 grams of marijuana, along with other non-drug evidence. The suspects are set to face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
Authorities emphasized that community cooperation plays a vital role in strengthening anti-crime initiatives. The Philippine National Police (PNP) continues to encourage the public to report illegal activities to enhance security efforts and combat drug-related crimes more effectively.
The successful operation underscores the government’s commitment to curbing illegal drug activities and maintaining public safety in the region.
