Filipina artists, it’s time to let your creativity shine!

The Sining Filipina Art Competition, the Philippines’ premier nationwide art competition exclusively for women, is officially accepting entries for its 2025 edition. With the theme “Her Earth, Her Future,” this year’s contest invites women artists to delve into the inspiring role of women in championing sustainability and protecting our planet.

Organized by SM Supermalls and Chinabank, with the support of Airspeed, and held for the benefit of the Zonta Club of Makati and Environs, Sining Filipina celebrates the artistry and vision of Filipina women. The competition aims to amplify their voices and showcase their ability to drive meaningful social change through art.

How to Join

Starting January 3, 2025, interested artists can obtain the official entry form by emailing siningfilipina.secretariat@gmail.com or following the Zonta Club of Makati and Environs on social media. The deadline for submissions is set for February 13, 2025.

Participants are encouraged to submit original artworks in oil, acrylic, or mixed media. Accepted canvas sizes are 2ft by 3ft or 3ft by 3ft, offering artists a generous space to portray their vision of sustainability.

Art as a Catalyst for Change

Sining Filipina is more than just an art competition—it’s a platform that empowers women to express their creativity while spotlighting issues that matter. Through this initiative, SM Supermalls reinforces its commitment to women’s empowerment and the promotion of local artistry.

Hanna Joy Sayam from Negros Occidental is awarded the grand prize in the figurative category for her artwork titled “Pira-pirasong Tela ng mga Marias” during last year’s inaugural Sining Filipina art competition awarding ceremony at SM Aura.

“We believe in the power of women’s voices and visions to create a better future. Sining Filipina provides a platform for Filipina artists to inspire others and ignite conversations about sustainability through their art,” says a representative from SM Supermalls.

The Bigger Picture

Proceeds from the competition will benefit the Zonta Club of Makati and Environs, a leading organization dedicated to empowering women and advocating for gender equality in the Philippines.

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or an emerging talent, Sining Filipina 2025 is your chance to showcase your skills, share your message, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
