Malaybalay City, Bukidnon — A successful buy-bust operation conducted by personnel from the Bukidnon Police Provincial Office (BUKPPO) – PDEU, under the direct supervision of Police Major Richlie D. Murallon, has resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old male mechanic and the confiscation of illegal drugs.
The operation, carried out in collaboration with the Bukidnon Police Intelligence Unit (BUK-PIU) and the Malaybalay City Police Station (CPS), took place at Purok 2, Bangcud, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The arrested individual, a resident of the same area, was caught in possession of substances believed to be shabu, weighing a total of 2.62 grams. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is Php 17,816.00.
Police Colonel Culaway, in a statement, reaffirmed the commitment of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bukidnon to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs. “The PNP Bukidnon remains to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of our community, and this continuous accomplishment strengthens our resolve to further intensify our anti-illegal drug campaigns,” PCOL Culaway said.
Following the arrest, the suspect was brought to the Malaybalay City Police Station for proper processing. Meanwhile, the confiscated drug evidence will be submitted to the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City for laboratory examination.
This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies in Bukidnon to combat the illegal drug trade and protect the community from its detrimental effects.
