Davao City – Authorities confiscated suspected illegal drugs worth P188,224 and a firearm during a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Antonio, Davao City, in the early hours of January 31. Two suspects, identified by their aliases Koy, 28, and Nica, 26, were apprehended by police at Del Pilar Extension at around 12:42 a.m.
According to the police report, the suspects sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover operative. A subsequent search led to the discovery of additional sachets of shabu with a total estimated value of P188,224. Law enforcement also recovered a .45 caliber pistol and two live bullets from the suspects.
The arrested individuals are currently in police custody, and charges related to illegal drug possession and illegal possession of firearms are being prepared against them. Authorities continue their investigation to determine possible connections to larger drug networks in the region.
The police have reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations in Davao City, urging the public to report any suspicious activities in their communities.
