Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon – Authorities confiscated illegal drugs valued at over Php 115,396 during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Manolo Fortich Municipal Police Station on January 13, 2025, in Barangay Tankulan.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Evary E. Bacunawa, Officer-In-Charge of the Manolo Fortich Municipal Police Station, identified the suspect as “Tasio,” a 39-year-old resident of the municipality.

The operation resulted in the recovery of 10 sachets of suspected shabu weighing over 16 grams, valued at Php 115,390. Additional items seized included a cellphone, a weighing scale, a sling bag, a motorcycle, and three Php 1,000 bills used as buy-bust money.

The suspect now faces charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”

Police Colonel Jovit L. Culaway, Provincial Director of the Bukidnon Police Provincial Office, praised the operatives for their successful operation.
“I commend the operating team of Manolo Fortich MPS for the successful apprehension of the drug suspect. Your swift action and efforts have strengthened the safety of our community. Job well done!”
