Kalilangan, Bukidnon – A high-value individual (HVI) allegedly involved in illegal drug activities was apprehended in a successful buy-bust operation conducted by the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station and the 1004th Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10, on January 20, 2025, in Purok 2, Barangay Bangbang, Kalilangan, Bukidnon.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Ayan,” is a 32-year-old unemployed resident of Purok 1B, Miglamin, Malaybalay City. According to authorities, this marks the suspect’s first offense, and he is believed to have sourced illegal drugs from Lanao del Sur.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of 190 grams of shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP1,292,000.00. Other items seized included an android phone, a pouch, five PhP100.00 bills, a motorcycle, and two PhP1,000.00 bills used as buy-bust money.
The suspect and the confiscated items are currently in the custody of the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and the filing of charges for violations of R.A. No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10), praised the collaborative efforts of the operating units. “The apprehension of the suspect is a testament to the diligence and teamwork of our personnel, ensuring safer communities for all. Let this serve as a warning to those who continue to engage in illegal drug activities—we will pursue you relentlessly,” he stated.
PRO10 reiterated its commitment to eradicating illegal drugs in the region and encouraged the public to report suspicious activities through the PRO10 hotlines. This latest operation highlights the importance of coordinated efforts in addressing the drug problem and ensuring the safety of local communities.
