In a monumental stride toward accessible healthcare, the Local Government of Tagum, in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), is on the verge of completing the much-anticipated Diagnostics and Dialysis Center. Strategically located on the City Hall Grounds, this facility is set to provide vital medical services to the community free of charge.

The initial phase of the project boasts state-of-the-art features, including 24 dialysis machines, laboratory equipment, and an x-ray machine. These resources aim to alleviate the financial burden of healthcare for residents by offering essential medical procedures at no cost. According to the latest DPWH update, the construction progress of this phase has reached an impressive 97.01% completion.
Adding to its comprehensive scope, the facility will house offices of key social service agencies, including PhilHealth and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). These agencies will streamline assistance programs, ensuring that residents can conveniently access medical and social support under one roof. This portion of the building is also nearing readiness, with a reported 92.17% completion rate as of the most recent DPWH report.
Mayor Rey T. Uy envisions the center as a testament to the city’s commitment to improving public service accessibility. By situating these critical services within a single location, the local government ensures faster, more efficient support for the people of Tagum. The project is expected to be fully operational within the year, a milestone that underscores the administration’s dedication to public welfare.
As the Diagnostics and Dialysis Center inches closer to inauguration, it stands as a symbol of progress and compassion, embodying the city’s mission to uplift the lives of its citizens. For Tagumeños, this facility is more than just a building—it’s a beacon of hope for a healthier and more empowered community.
